Octaves: 5 (6) octaves handbells, vocal, keyboard, and optional C instrument
Composer: Derek K. Hakes
AGEHR Level: III
Description: With lyrics from a traditional Irish Blessing, Derek has woven a beautiful melody accompanied by handbells, keyboard (organ) and optional oboe or C instrument.
It may be performed with a solo voice, unison (S), two part (SA), three part (SAT),
or four part (SATB) voices accompanied with either handbells (3-6 octaves)
or piano with oboe or other C instrument.
It may be performed with an optional repeat, using chimes 2nd time through, optional C instrument, or children's voices etc. This piece is easily adapted to your specific needs. If using bells (and if chimes are also available), the first time through with solo instrument
and/or voice may be played entirely on handchimes.
School choirs should take the optional text in italics.
