Composer: Douglas J. Benton
AGEHR Level: 4
Description: This rhythmic arrangement of Ary Barroso’s 1939 hit song, “Aquarela do Brasil” has been beautifully adapted for handbells and optional Latin instruments by Doug Benton. Using a variety of handbell techniques such as mart, mart lift and Pl or mallet on table, ringers will thoroughly enjoy learning and performing this work. A separate percussion score is available and conductors are also encouraged to improvise using any Latin rhythmic instruments available. This is sure to be a toe-tapping, audience-pleasing work for your next concert. Note: The sound file omits a repeat.
