Octaves: 3 - 5 octaves handbells; 3 octaves handchimes
Composer: Erwin Stroobach
Description: This tone poem creates music and sounds representative of the glorious “Aurora Borealis.” Use of singing bell, echoes, suspended bells, LV, and more adds to the creativity of the work. Nicely placed handchime notes and many opportunities for expression provide a lovely ‘image’ of the aurora borealis painting the sky. This work is the winner of the Handbell Guild of Canada Composition Contest 2017 and will be performed in massed ringing in Australia 2018 International Handbell Symposium.
